As of 9/11/07, the following stations/markets aren't playing GM

Charlotte (WNKS), Columbus (WNCI), Houston (KRBE), Detroit (WKQI), Atlanta (WSTR, & WWWQ)[massive decline in airplay], Tampa (WFLZ), Pittsburgh (WKST), Portland, OR (KKRZ), Cincinnatti (WKFS), Kansas City (KMXV), Milwaukee (WXSS), Providence (WPRO), Orlando (WXXL), West Palm (WLDI), Memphis (WHBQ), Buffalo (WKSE), Louisville (WZKF & WDJX), Birmingham (WQEN)...

There are more markets not playing it. I just looked at the top 60.

If you like this song and live in these markets, could you call the station and ask them what are they thinking? Why aren't they playing this song.

We could look at this two ways: (1) This song is performing extremely well considering how many stations aren't playing it. (2) This song could be doing so much better if more stations were playing it.

When released to downloads, Gimme More won't even need those stations to play it! It's just so unfair!!!

Uh, these stations haven't added the song, yet. The stations that have added it are playing it more and more. Many stations have increased it 20 x over last wk.

Stations that won't likely add it are top 40 stations that lean more toward Hot AC and rock. WRVW here in Nashville used to be more rock leaning and wouldn't add any rhythmic based songs until they hit the top 10. There are always stations that tend to wait on songs. Tonight, I'm sure there'll be 5 or 6 adds for Gimme More when the report comes out. I'm curious to see if any of these stations are on that list. The song is still new, technically. There are stations that wait to see how a song performs in other markets first before they add it.

Are sure they banned Janet 'cause I saw them play So Excited a few times last year.

They just haven't added the song yet. I mean, the song was released only 12 days ago. It's still fresh, and we can't forget there never was an official release date for GM.
