Idk. It'd be one thing if she was only acting erratically when the cameras are on her, but when there are stories like these:

The latest story from anonymous witnesses features Amanda Bynes at a gymnastics class in NYC, wearing a wig, fishnets, and “a leotard that looked like lingerie,” according to one onlooker. She’s been to a few classes, but was asked to leave and escorted out the last time she attended due to her bizarre behavior.
“She lined up with the other gymnasts, and each took their turn to perform a roll,” says one source. “But Amanda just walked out on the mat, was spinning around in circles and mumbling to herself.” Later, she “did a cartwheel, but her wig fell off, and she sat down and cried.” After continued incidents, staff became concerned that “she might be a hazard to other people in the class.”

Amanda Bynes made the most out of her Tuesday evening by spending it at a hair salon in Queens. Unfortunately, it's being reported by one of the stylists that she was exhibiting some strange behavior. According to them, it even seemed possible that she was on "something" — but does that mean drugs?? The stylist reveals:
"I feel sorry for her. I don’t know what she was on exactly, but she was definitely on something."
While Amanda apparently kept her shades on throughout the entire four hours, she came out with long, golden locks to show off to the world (and Twitter). She also left with the help of some police escorts!

Not gonna link and give him the web hits!
But yeah, if this is all just a ploy for attention, I guess it's starting to work. I'm just worried there is something mentally wrong with her. It's not like she ever did "performance art" type of humor before.
She is talented at comedy, so it'd be a shame to see her going down the tubes from drugs, mental illness, or some combination. (Not that isn't sad to see those things take their toll on hopelessly untalented people as well.)
