Idiot Fahey Watch:
He ****ed over the viewers by saying "TRL is back at noon CDT, next Monday."

He's just an awful host in general. But if you wanna get specific:

1) He's been pretty rude to some of the guests.

I can't get into too much detail about this, either because I remember too much or I remember too little, but I know that he's been a douche towards Amy Lee, Mandy Moore, Nelly Furtado, Avril Lavigne, Paula Deanda, Jamie Foxx, Enrique Iglesias, and others.

2) He seems to be unable to read a teleprompter.

He's made so many errors, especially in the last few months, regarding artist and song names. I understand that nobody's perfect, but if 1/2 of the shows aren't even live, and some names are said on a daily basis, there should be no reason for his screw-ups.

3) He has incredible bias towards certain artists.

It seems that everytime Shop Boyz come up into conversation, Damien freakin' spazzes and is all like "OMFG THEY'RE MY BESTEST FRIENDS HOMIES DAWG-SHIZZLES 4EVERZZZ YO! THEY MADE ME A SHIRT CUZ IM A PIMP IM DAMIENIZZLE SIZZLE ON A BUNDIZZLE!!" He also can't seem to take his eyes off of Rihanna, and it's very hard for him to talk about her without him mentioning how hot she is. And even though I know she isn't an artist, why the hell does Damien constantly hit on Suchin Pak?! She should slap him for that.

There's at least 2-3 more reasons out there, but I'm getting lazy.

^ Thanks for explaining. When I used to watch, I always thought the Shop Boyz thing was an inside joke because of how different they are compared to Damien. I never thought they knew each other beyond the joke. I remember Carson Daly was worse by actually changing his accent when rappers were around.

I agree about the teleprompter and I have seen him act a little rude toward certain guests. I suppose he's feeling the stress of being the only perm host on the show. It's hard to carry a whole show especially when he's not really funny and he doesn't know anything about most of the music he has to talk about.

There was a guest host from Australia some weeks ago. She would make such a great host here. If TRL did that, changed the god damn Jamaican set design(how long has it been?) and stop treating music videos like a step child by showing it in commercials, I would watch again.

I loved the Australian VJ so much! Her name was Lindsay Rodrigues, or something like that, right? She was fantastic. She had such a sweet on-air personality, I would definitely love to watch someone like her.

And, quoting JT from the VMA's, PLAY MORE VIDEOS! That includes showing the entire c/d, and not just 45-60 seconds of 8 videos, and then 15 seconds of two other videos wedged into commercials.

On Deck every day would be nice, as would a much later airtime, but yankee04 makes a good point. It seems like MTV is trying to find a reason to cancel this once-great-but-now-awful show.

In fact, the entire show should get a revamp, and I'm not talking about that You-R-L thing they had planned. I mean new hosts (at least 3 that cycle throughout the week, with an occasional celebrity guest host who is not Aly or AJ). Give First Looks to a broader range of videos, including rock. I wouldn't complain if they gave country artists besides Carrie Underwood a chance either, especially the incredibly talented Taylor Swift, although I understand why that genre isn't popular with most teenagers.

Taking the show out of the studio once in awhile would be good too, kind of like VH1 Top 20. Maybe instead of covering a tour for a minute and a half, have the host(s) go backstage and have that be the focus of the show. I know I would have loved to see some more Warped Tour coverage.

There's so many possibilities to turn this show around, but no, sadly MTV is too busy promoting Rodrigo Y Gabriela and The Hills.

Fire everyone on the current TRL production staff, including Damien 'Shop Boyz reject' Fahey.......LOL.

But for the love of good music, get Evanescence on the countdown for 40 days. kthx. That was a great video, something the countdown needs right now.
