Not even shading anyone in particular, but I'm convinced if you put a green wig and cute pumps on an inanimate object and gave it one Top 40 Dr. Luke or RedOne single, you will see threads praising and stanning for it, comparing it to Michael Jackson and how they're slayed by its good personality.
I love Lana, don't care about Gaga, don't like Azealia.
And why is Iggy's pic on the first post? I remember she had a lot of Monsters on her mentions back when the whole Interscope situation was going on, thank god that ended
Oh and for the "why" they have overlapping stanbases: They're all young, fashionable pop artists who make music that skirts between "pop" and not-radio-friendly music who consistently have good visual elements to compliment their music.
I am only a Gaga stan but Right now I really appreciate Azelia cuz she makes so entertaining videos and songs and I really like some of Lana's songs but not her personally ...
No shade to Gaga or Little Monsters because she's my fave and I love her, and I know some people do genuinely like these artists, but I know a lot of Gaga fans push themselves to these artists, because they think they're non-generic artists and something different and unique to the typical pop-stars. Which doesn't really make sense, since that's what Gaga is. Like if they like these artist they think it puts them in a place to be music snobs and act like their taste isn't mainstream, which is apparently cool. And is completely contradicting.
But not everyone is like that, and I'm sure some people just enjoy their music.
