Android phones don't tap in that well to iTunes' ecosystem anyways. Why do you think Microsoft was trying to quickly build up their own ecosystem too? iTunes has a larger library of music, apps, movies, and TV shows than the rest of the game that's available in many more markets. iMessage and FaceTime also contribute to why a ton of people keep on buying iPhones (as detailed here: http://appleinsider.com/articles/11/...user_retention )
Even PCMag made a writeup about it. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2409651,00.asp
Even your favorite company's exec praised the iPhone's ecosystem. http://www.dailytech.com/Samsung+Exe...ticle29415.htm
A decade head start of building up your ecosystem causes that.

i hardly consider an appstore as being an ecosystem but to each his own. google play/amazon may not where iTunes is in terms of the amount of content but it's not like it's lacking anything that really matters. it has most of the relevant apps/music so it's hardly deal breaker AND android has very nice looking apps too, so don't try it.
iPhone is stale, boring and limited. just an app launcher with a nice app store. the icon on your weather app doesnt even change with the temperature.
the toggles in the gs3's notification shade alone >>>>>
i won't even get into the other features. the iPhone is more popular but that's about it.
