What sounds soothe you?
I love the sound of thunderstorms, rain, running water, trains, planes flying over my house, a running fan...
What sounds comfort you?

I love the sound of heavy rain (not thunderstorms they get me stressed out) and trains in the distance. Luckily where I live we get plenty of both.
In terms of music, off the top of my head Bjork's
Vespertine
and
Biophilia
really take the edge off (with the exception of Crystalline & Mutual Core).
