Why does everyone's experiences seem so awful? I'm pretty much fine except for a heavy cough. I can move around normally and eat and drink normally

Well I have Sickle Cell Anemia and no spleen so my immune system is highly suppressed and I'm highly susceptible to contracting infections such as pneumonia. I'm just ****ed

Then you don't have full blown Pneumonia

I do have Pneumonia, my doctor said I have it but I'll be feeling better within 2-3 days of antibiotics. Guess it's just a mild case.

Yeah that's what I meant, a very mild case. You'd be feeling it if you had a bad case

I have a very heavy, mucusy cough. No other symptoms though

.. im thinking about deleting the post.. on second thought it's too hard/dramatic & most of all too personal for a forum where i barely know anyone.. but thank you for the reply/concern.. i appreciate that.

edit: pneumonia is mostly dangerous for people who already have weak health/systems. a strong healthy person should go through it without experiencing any serious problems afterwards. but it is still very dangerous and unfortunately way too common..too many babies and older people die from just pneumonia alone itself) of course most survive, but if you don't treat it, it won't end well..it is really tricky.. im glad i never went through it myself.

Lucky for some, whatever I have is antibiotic resistance and that is what has led to me being this ill. I literally can't even shower without needing to take a 4 hour nap, eating is tiring enough to be honest, a bowl of soup and I feel like I've run a marathon.

Yes, I was out of work for 2 weeks and I passed out because I could hardly breath. It was horrible.
