Far, far, far behind in #2 is The Weinstein Company’s Dimension Film Scary Movie 5(3,402 theaters) bombing badly for $5.8M Friday and $13.4M for the weekend. Considering that 2006′s Scary Movie 4 opened to $40.2M from 3,202 theaters, this franchise has run out of steam. For one thing, there’s no Anna Faris or Regina Hall who both starred in all four earlier installments. But it does have the nauseating casting of Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen playing themselves. (Audible groan…) Once again, Dimension just isn’t bringing the box office heat to Weinstein Co grosses like it did to the old Miramax. Bringing back the Scream and Spy Kids franchises produced only 1/2 and 1/3 of the originals’ openings.
Welp, no one wants to see Ashley Tisdale , Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen for sure
Nobody was expecting big numbers anyway, let's be honest, these kind of films have already bored the public, it's not Ashley Tisdale's or Lindsay Lohan's fault
I still want to see this movie
Lindsey Lohan, Ashley Tisdale and Charlie Sheen are unfunny and irrelevant (outside of their personal issues).
Scary Movie was already a dying series, but the fact that they left out Brenda and Cindi - the hearts and souls of the series - made it hit rock bottom. Can't say that I'm shocked.

Welp, the film will definitely perform better with Anna Faris and Regina Hall
Not surprised. They had no stars and no Anna or Regina = flop. How embarrassing what the series has become now. After the Wayans were scalped of their involvement they have gone downhill.
The sequel to A Haunted House is coming out later this year though! It made $40 million with a $2.5 million budget, which shows parodies aren't completely boring the public. Since it will be a sequel it should gross a little more as well since it will be established. Glad the Wayans are showing them they don't need the "Scary Movie" title to bring an audience.
I'll say it again, 1 and 3 were the highlights of the series, and they really should have stopped at 3. 4 was pretty lazy and this just looked completely awful.
