I've had worse than that. I've had it spread to my blood stream (Sepsis) because my mom kept telling me I just had a cold and refused to take me to the doctor. It sucked.
Once when I was 3. I was hospitalized for 45 days and one of my lungs collapsed. They had to insert a tube and pump the phlegm out of me. I almost died.
Yes. When I was 8 I think. I thought I was going to die. It started with asthma then morphed into pneumonia. All the medicine, Gawd, I was surprised my bloodstream managed to take it all in. You know, the nebulizers, inhalers, 128358697 tablets and capsules. The hard part is being unable to properly breathe.
Currently suffering from severe chest problems at the moment, mine started with flu and antibiotic resistant strep throat that I picked up when travelling. I'm already a severe asthmatic.
Can't move the liquid in my lungs, currently living off of salbutamol and saline nebules. Just want to feel better at this point, bored out of my mind at home.
YES! It was in mt Grade 9 year and I was out for 13 days. I slept all day long because I had no energy and even eating a bowl of chicken noodle soup took more strength than it should.
Almost failed my first semester because of it since I missed so many of my final assignments before exams.
