That picture made me shed a tear. It's really sad. My mom believes that it should be a man and a women together but she never discriminates. She loves everyone equally. This really saddens me.
Just pointing something out, because some users here apparently think so:
Religious convictions probably had nothing to do with it. In Europe, homophobia is much less rooted in religion than it might be in the US, it most likely played no role at all here. It's just plain, open homophobia without even the illusion of an excuse for it such as religion.
And reading this was horrible. I hope this will remain an isolated incident, at least in this severity. Not like homophobia that doesn't involve physical violence was anything new.
