Madonna was not expecting to be treated diferently. I bet she was just surprised, because president granted her VIP status during her previous visits without Madonna asking for it. A sudden change in their behaviour probably caused that Madonna was feeling unwelcomed and upset. Its obvious that there are some bitter feelings, between the president and Madonna, because Madonna dared to fire presidets sister Anjimile Oponyo - Oponyo was a CEO for Madonnas charity in Malawi and claimed that she runs leaderships academy for girls on which Madge donated money, but the school was surprisingly never build, and the money disappeared.

By the way, body searching and having all bags searched by police is not usual treatment, its a treatment used only on suspicious passengers. Usually you have only your handbags scanned and go through metal detectors, thats all.
