I like the above demo, but it's not that fresh sounding to me. I can see why she just stayed put with The Boys and Va Va Voom. The Re-Up wasn't intended for Top 40/M anyway.
Regardless, I don't think it'd be even close to as successful as Starships, which is one of the zeitgeist songs of 2012, alongside STIUTK and Call Me Maybe. It was the
only international single from the album around its initial release window, and it carried the sales of 500k copies outside the US in that time frame. As a single, it was huge too in its own right, so all respect to US urban media and audiences, but their backlash was pretty local.
