SC Parents Put Lesbian Teen Daughter Up For Adoption
A Southern Carolina couple have made national news by being the first parents to put their child up for adoption due to their sexuality. Usually parents give up their children because they can’t raise them due to finances or because they are young and don’t have the mental ability to bring up a child. Kids are also usually given up for adoption at a young age, but April Chadwell is barely 16 years old and has been listed as legally adoptable by the state of Southern Carolina. Mrs. Chadwell released a statement saying “It was a tough choice to give up our daughter to the state, but we don’t know how to handle someone who decides to live a lifestyle that we do not agree with”. The Chadwells said they had help from their local church, who prayed for weeks seeking guidance for the couple and came to the conclusion that it would be best to let the child go in hopes of being adopted by a gay friendly family.
disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. You put your own DAUGHTER who you raised and GAVE BIRTH to up for ADOPTION just because she likes her own gender? This is just disgusting. I don't see how you could be that cruel to someone save your own family. Hopefully this is just a rotten egg in the basket and things will get better over time and I hope that the poor girl gets the home with loving, kind parents that she deserves.
This is one of the reasons I'm actually disappointed to being straight. It's who I am, but it pisses me off that some straights think they are better than other people.

It's easy to say that at least she'll have good parents, but what if she gets adopted by abusive parents as well. Adoption isn't always that great either, and there are cracks and setbacks just like any system. I HOPE and pray she gets better parents but 16 years with one set of family is enough to destroy you when they do something like this to you.
While I do think this is horrible and I hope that those scummy parents get murdered violently in their sleep, I'd rather see that girl be able to maybe live in a loving home then have to continue living with those ****** people.
