I'm very underwhelmed with this after having high hopes for it. I don't mind her singing more playful songs, but this one just doesn't do it for me. Maybe it's a grower.
It's a very uninspired song. Hard to believe 5 people came up with these lyrics. At the same time, it's sort of catchy. I would predict it's a modest hit just because there's no room for Avril and her stubbornness to progress 11 years into her career, but catchy enough to make a little dent (ala "WTH"). As forgettable too.
And it's easy to say it mimics Ke$ha, Cher LLoy or Taylor's recent pop/country fusion when Avril has been a non-factor for over half a decade and they've come and so easily infiltrated her lane. It's just a lesson in keeping yourself relevant.

I don't see the K$ comparisons.. just because there is more autotune in the song, doesn't mean it can automatically be a K$ song...
There is much less autotune in warrior then on this song..
I don't know oath, but I definitely feel a WANEGBT and 22 vibe... that said, those 2 were always songs that could be compared to avril.. this IS avril.. perfect Avril no matter what the haters say..
It does vaguely sound like an album track from "Warrior" mixed with Cher Lloyd's "Oath." It's even giving me some "Cheers (Drink To That)" vibes. It's definitely a lot more Katy/Ke$ha than her old stuff.
Radio should eat it up though.
Mmmmmmmmmmm, sounds nothing like anything on Warrior, though!
