Adele is back in the studio

ADELE was always going to get bored of polishing awards and counting up her cash.

The singer is back in the studio for the first time since giving birth last October.

And considering the success of her multi-award-winning second album 21, expectation will be huge for the follow-up.

Which might be why she’s got two of the UK’s best producers/songwriters on board — JAMES FORD and KID HARPOON.

These lads have worked with FLORENCE WELCH, ARCTIC MONKEYS and JESSIE WARE. James produced on the Arctics’ Humbug and FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE albums Lungs and Ceremonials.

Kid Harpoon, real name Tom Hull, worked on Ceremonials tracks and three from Jessie’s album Devotion.

A source said: “Adele wants to move with the times and is trying to make her new record sound as edgy as possible.

“The team she’s assembled is first rate and she’s confident they can help match the success of her first two albums.

“It’s no easy task as the world will be desperate to hear it.”

Adele released 21 in 2011 — three years after her first album, 19.

If she keeps to form, fans should expect to hear the new album next year — when she’ll be 25.
But there’s no guarantees she will name the album after her age like the others. Adele always intended not to rush.

Rumour has it she's been working on the follow-up for months though... wouldn't be surprised if she'd release this or next year tbh. Hope she steers away from doing the same old again!

and we all know when in an article some phrases occur like "a source told us" " we heard",

well then we know it's most likely not true.

But this article is something different, it calls out in a distinct form some names, who make sense.

I doubt she's recording it but she probably is coming up with ideas and starting to write for it though, I'd guess, but that's probably on her own time and not in the studio. But that does seem pretty specific to name writers, etc though.

But she said it would be a couple years last year (and she was pregnant at the time) so I do think we'll get a new album next year. Definitely not this year though.
