She visited Australia exactly 2 years ago with TLGOE tour (March 2011).
And talking about the global thing she announced her DWT 8 months after the end of her previous tour.
It's more than obvious that the tickets won't sell out that fast (even more when she was on tour 2010 and 2011 too.
It's a ticket for a concert, not a chocolate!
You have to save money.
It's not like everyone can be "mom/dad give me money now".

The discussions of the last week about the gross of the first shows (11 sold out shows) make me think that everyone is so ****ing pressed about how well is doing that show!!!!!! So many envious people!!!!!

I'm just saying the ticket prices in your country are lower than they usually are in Europe, Asia, North and South America, for instance. But if you say these artists are South African household names and that's why their concerts sold out, I believe you.

Her tour has been poorly advertised here. Where I work, we have daytime television on all day and I have seen an ad for her tour like twice, whereas Get Sleazy, BTWB etc. all had massive promo here in AUS. Also, they are advertising all her old songs for the tour which isn't helping. She also skipped Australia on the Loud Tour so it's obvious that she won't sell as fast this time because it's hard to sell in places you skip unless there is massive hype like MDNA or the Circus tour.

Updated with the most recent info... I think it IS interesting her tickets are quite a bit more expensive then Gaga's and I'm curious to find out how she'll sell. Gaga sold out quite fast, but in comparison to the rock acts she didn't sell as many tickets, so that has always confused me as well. Can't wait to find out how successful she'll be!

Rihanna is GLOBAL unlike her other peers. Ofcourse her tickets will be more expensive. It's all about star power.
