Avril didn't invent fun pop songs, but she definitely was a big part of that pop-rock influenced sound that came to the public in the early 2000's. And WANEGBT's and 22's production is extremely similar to the old school Avril sound.

sounds alike doesn't mean someone copied the other sound......it's more like influence to me when i say WANEGBT sounds like Let Go. It's cool to me though. May be you don't think the same way as me but it's fine.

Anyway that Taylor Swift ******** is just annoying. This always been Avril's style even before people knew who the **** Taylor is. If anything, Taylor's new songs sound like Avril's rejects.

I hate the comparisons between Taylor and Avril, it annoys me so much. THEY'RE DIFFERENT ARTISTS. And if ANYONE sounds like ANYONE, it's Taylor's pop songs sounding like Avril's pop songs. This doesn't sound like a Taylor reject in any way, shape, or form.

this sfm.. avril is about 80% rock influenced anyway, which taylor is trying to be pop and country and it's messy and terrible

People need to stop acting like Taylor Swift puts out music that is IN ANY WAY high enough quality for an analytical discussion to be had about it.

Pop music has its silly little kids like Taylor, Miley, and Bieber, who churn out jokey, trite, meaningless "songs" involving little to no creativity and then it has people like Avril, Kelly Clarkson, and P!nk who actually make LEGIT MUSIC.

Having a discussion in which the songs of people from both of these groups is compared is just ridiculous, it's apples and oranges. Actually, no, wait, that's not exactly correct, because apples and oranges have a similarity in that they are both fruit. So it's more like comparing ... apples and vaginas.

So let's get back on track and just focus on Avril. The only thing this should be compared to is Avril's previous sounds. I have slightly mixed feelings about the clip, but I'm leaning more toward liking it, and it makes me optimistic that this album will be good. So YAY!

Taylor has 2 meaningless songs off over than 150 songs she has written.. Can't say the same about Avril even if tehre's nothing wrong about no-sense songs, i'm just telling the truth (and even Miley has LOTS of meaningful songs) You should get some more info before prasaing your faves
