Can we discuss the improvement with each album on Track 5 tho?
"Cold As You" is so bitter, then we have "White Horse" which is a nice sappy ballad, then we got "Dear John". Incredibly scathing, a song in which we found Her got really deep in self-victimising. And on LP4, we are blessed with "All Too Well", a song that is basically just recounting the good times, while also asking the man why did he let it happen, but long were the days when She played the victims, instead She asked more and more questions. Let's not forget how the scarf here works as Chekhov's Gun.
She has gotten more sophisticated and complex. She has grown up a lot.
Those who didn't notice this subtle growth She has had must be part of foodstamps demography tbh.
