Yes, and that's my point.
Beats are ridiculously overprized. You pay about 100% more than you should for what they offer in quality just for the name brand.
Get Sony or Sennheiser headphones instead: 1/2 or even 1/4 of the prize, exact same sound quality.
Edit:
Audio-Technica ATH-M50 are great too for instance btw, I'd recommend. And they cost much less.
