You can forgive CG and TT similarities considering they are both produced by the same person. Lady Gaga first single was a Madonna rip-off, and the original was made 20 years ago.

You can't really "forgive" similarities in one case if you're not going to "forgive" them in another; the fact that the same man produced them really doesn't justify such extreme similarity moreso than if different producers were responsible.

I agree that both lead singles are rip-offs.
But I said Katy's album was generic, which you kind of just proved with that "same producer" comment.

This doesn't make any sense. Dr. Luke is the creator of TT and then he created CG with Katy. They are not stealing from anyone. Gaga copying Express Yourself has no excuse.
Dr. Luke produced both songs. I only heard you nerds on ATRL complaining about TT and CG similarities. The GP knows about the Madonna rip-off tho.
It wasn't as big as the Gaga/Madonna one because the public had been comparing Gaga to Madonna for awhile and BTW only poured gasoline to the fire.
But the public did notice and talk about CG/TT to an extent. They also talked about how ET lifted parts of All The Things She Said. Where's the excuse for that?
