Not exactly.
China and Russia have always been neutral in this conflict. People are especially afraid of China chosing N. Korea's side. The chances are low that they will, of course, but if China does then there's obviously a big problem.
We are not only economically highly dependent on China, China also has the biggest army of the world. Their military force is huge.

China will probably not choose sides though, as they are very dependent on us just as well. But still, it's scary to think what would happen if China and then Russia decide to join N. Korea.

I think it is extremely SAD to see North Korea like this... South Korea is one of the most awesome places in the world!!!!

Their so called "dear leader" looks like a baby who is about to throw a tantrum , i think his greatest failing will be his age!

I was also shocked to learn 1000's of USA tourists tour North Korea each year!!!!! Look at this for Hotel Reviews:

North Korea will not do anything. Granted they shouldn't just be ignored but if they ever did anything, they would be wiped off the face of the earth.

Isn't it normal for countries to evacuate their citizens from foreign countries during country/political crises?

Nothing is going to happen.....and even if something did happen NK is only capable of inflicting minor damage to SK and even less to the US. They have exactly one missile that could reach the US mainland. Even IF they decide to launch it (not going to happen), and IF they are advanced enough to put a nuke in it (unlikely), and IF it made it to the US (unlikely), and IF their guidance systems are advanced enough to actually target a US city rather than a cornfield (unlikely), and IF it detonated successfully (unlikely), nukes in missiles are relatively tiny and wouldn't do THAT much damage.

And the US has missile defence systems across South Korea, Japan, Hawaii, Guam and elite navy ships which can do the same across the Atlantic.

People don't seem to realise that the US won't instigate anything here, however, if North Korea where to do something, the US will literally obliterate them. Their nuclear capabilities are small, their technology outdated and unless their failed rocket launch was a bluff which is highly unlikely, nothing will happen which will cause too much damage (although any damage and any loss of life will hopefully be avoided)

Normally I would say nothing is going to happen.

But we aren't talking about a normal country and a normal government here. I'm afraid NK is somewhat unpredictable. It's good to be prepared for whatever might happen.

I'm kinda worried to be honest, someone as unstable as NK's five-year-old looking leader can be unpredictable.
I'm especially nervous since our president seems more keen on fundraising in California than meeting with defense officials.
