Are you kidding me? She obviously cares very much about her appearance and tries so hard to come across as 'arty' and 'sophisticated'. She may not rely on conventional beauty but she sure relies on appearance.
Gaga cares about her looks very much. Just because she doesn't fit the beauty standard on purpose doesn't mean she doesn't rely on her looks. Her appearance has a huge factor in her success. Every MAJOR pop girl relies on looks there's no denying it.
