Yes it could benefit from pop, but only if it was a big hit on urban and rhythmic like Pour It Up and SFTB.
But the other part of your post bothers me. First of all you mean rap not sing. But I'll let that slide. Secondly, she doesn't rap about sex all the time with her "hip-hop". What else do you want her to rap about when the song is about FREAKS.
