It's simple really. She doesn't follow the other pop stars typical way of selling albums (aka big debut which makes up for the poor longevity in the long run). If the other girls opened up with half their sales their final numbers would be pitiful. Personally I'm very pleased that this will be nearly platinum off of 2 singles. I hope Jump follows the trend, but that's another topic.

It really all depends on how long and hard Rihanna pushes the album. If she drops three more singles and stretches things into fall w/o a re-release, anywhere from 4 - 6 million. If her team decides to pull a 'Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded' with great promo (in the US + internationally), then anywhere from 5.5 - 8 million. I doubt they'll do a re-release, though. The tours ends in December and I'm sure she'll wanna take a break after it.
