This is the sequel to Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief which was released in 2010. The movies are based off a popular book series know as Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

been waiting forever omg this look better than the first one (did they even't try?) i just try to not compare it to the book so i can enjoy the movie for what it is.

Apparently, because of the massive fan backlash the got, they intend to go by the book now which is great. I'm so excited. They've already green lit The Titan's Curse.

I read it on Wikipedia a while ago. ( Wiki's shady ik) Apparently Fox has already started looking for people to make TTC into a screenplay. Now whether it's true, or not, I can't say.

I just hope the movie does well enough for them to make more sequels.
