There was barley any screaming with Silent Night, the only problem was with the overuse of melismas. Secondly, have you not heard half of I AM... SASHA Fierce or even I Miss You from 4? Those were subtle records. Beyonce isn't Christina and you know damn well she does not scream, she belts.

Those songs are no as low as back to black. Anyways, you can pull up a few covers (where she's belting not screaming, I thought based on your name you would know the difference) but neglect to mention

and countless others. To say beyonce can't be subtle is a lie. Will she be subtle? You'll have to stay tuned for that. But don't count her out because she's an extremely capable and versatile vocalist.

This was a great cover. And no she was not screaming, she was grunting in the song which is a technique many soul/blues artists used in the 50's/60's.

You're a mess. Selena Gomez is a mexican/italian dance pop singer. It would almost be disrespectful for her to cover Aretha. Beyoncé comes from blues/soul/jazz. Those are her roots. Beyoncé chooses not to make that kind of music, but it doesn't mean she can't do it, and her Etta James covers showed that. If Beyoncé wants to cover a blues song, she can go right ahead. It's not going to sound like Amy's version, obviously, but that doesn't mean it's going to be bad.

And I agree that Beyoncé's version of "Ex-Factor" wasn't as good as Lauryn's, but she sang it better then Lauryn can today so at least someone is doing it justice.
