Timbaland declared in an interview for an english magazine that Madonna's first album was a big inspiration for this new album.
Timbaland has also revealed that there'll be no 80s disco tracks on the album and no purple leotard. "It's kinda like Holiday with an R&B groove."
Timberlake says it's still dance music, but without the energy of Madonnas previous records - instead, it has an R&B flavour.

Black Star is an awful title for her next album. It just makes her sound even more desperate to find acceptance in the hip-hop world. Lol, I used to be a Madonna wannabe for a couple years like hardcore but TBGO is downright awful so I'm not so sure if I'm going to support her next release. Don't know yet though...
