For my first couple of months here on ATRL I stuck around Base & Music News, until one day ANTM Cycle 7 winner Evun posted in the Ke$ha Base thread that signups for Cycle 8 were open. I figured I'd give it a shot since I had participated in a game like this before on a different forum and made several friends. Same thing ended up happening here.

omg you definitely should try out for both; they're extremely fun, but you have to constantly be on your toes and thinking several steps ahead if you want to do well.

I was extremely nervous about doing Next Top Member, and I think me falling to the bottom two on the very first challenge of my cycle showed that. I had little to no confidence about my entries at the beginning, but I managed to compose myself and make it to the final seven (which seems to be a recurring trend in every tournament I take part in ).

That's why I'm glad I began my Games section experience with Top Member because the only person who could determine how well I did was myself (and the judges of course). It was almost a platform of sorts for me to get to know people, and I took the friends I made there and formed alliances with them for both Survivor and Big Brother.
