Video Clip: Father catches daughters twerking

My parents stopped hitting me around 8 or 9 years old. The last time either of my parents hit me it was a slap in the face for cussing at someone in front of them. It just made me angry. Hitting a teenager doesn't actually work, the same way it does with 2-9 year olds.
In this particular video the girl is screaming, like someone else said, out of fear and not actual pain. Either way, it's not something I care to watch and the discipline debate is not one I care to partake in over and over.
Because on one side you have the people who say talking is the best discipline, yet their kids are going to schools, theaters, and malls with machine guns and shooting the places up, while on the other side you have people who are 100% for whoopin ass, yet their kids are still selling dope on the corner and whatnot.

Not all children are like that And even if they are, there are other ways apart from hitting them...if a child calls his mum a bitch and throws **** everywhere it sounds like they have more severe issues and might be imitating something the parents themselves are doing.

I feel bad for the future of some of your kids. People talking about that's nothing.

The worst whooping I ever got was for riding my bike around the corner trying to find my parents van, and I was probably 8 or 9 at the time. I got whooped with an extension cord. It taught me nothing really, I just really didn't like my Mom at the time. Once my brother got whooped with a broom and and a cord for breaking my Moms crystal bowl on purpose and he still has a mark from it. When me,my brothers and sister discuss this we all laugh because it really isn't a big deal to us now. It's funny the whoopings we got and the stories we share about it. It doesn't seem to be detrimental in the black community! I'd never do it because I'm too emotional and things but sometimes they help! I never got whoopings like this though, my Mom would NEVER go that far with us. I think there is a certain limit that shouldn't be exceeded and it's just weird because he's a man!

Why are you acting like it's a racial thing? You are speaking based on stereotypes, white people sometimes beat up their kids too. And someone else was saying how it was so common in Latin families when more than one person, myself included, who ACTUALLY grew up in Latin America have testified as saying it's extremely rare and looked down upon, and not necessary int he first place. What studies do show is that it's NOT an effective way to manage behaviour.

This is my stance their is nothing wrong with disciplining children, but leaving marks and beating them with vacuum cleaners and electric cords. I draw the line there. I also think it's disgusting that he posted this video online. Getting an ass whooping is humiliating enough, but to have the whole world view it. Just sad.......

!!! Me and my siblings do this
Just goes to show that NOT every kid who gets "beatings" when they're younger are going to become emotionally traumatized, violent individuals and on the flip side not every kid who gets stern talking to's will be pistol whipping their parents.

This is most ghetto thing I've seen in a while. Beating his daughters for making a twerking video.

Exactly. Beating your child (let's just think about that for a second ) is an easy, stupid, ignorant thing to do. It seems like a way for violent, lazy parents to just slap their kids around and expect their behaviour to be better without actually trying to PARENT their child and raise them properly in the world.

I don't think whether or not you beat your child has any affect on whether they will have untreated mental illnesses that would make them shoot up a public place tho

I don't think every serial killer or mass murderer has a mental illness. Or murderer in general.
Sue me.
There are just some people who are bad and evil.
I'm pointing out the irony on both sides is all.

I'm 21 and still get smacked by Mom when I piss her off. Not really that bad, i guess,
Like it or not, he's keeping these girls off the streets. If he hadn't punished them like this, they would still be making twerk videos on FB and probably being hoes in life.

Excuse me what do you mean kids these days, KIDS from all generations and decades were acting all the way up. It's nothing new under the sun, the difference is now we have the internet so we get more information on these instances.
