Anybody else thinking Taylor is going to have to regroup for next era? I just feel the album will lose momentum if Taylor doesn't pick a side Pop or Country to focus on next era or at least find a better way to balance things out. I don't see her winning anything other than possibly Entertainer of The Year at the ACMs or CMAs this year with possibly a chance for collaboration with Tim McGraw depending on how well the single ultimately does on the charts and saleswise. The one country single she sent had a meh performance and she hasn't put out anything but Pop singles. She is going to have to depend on her Pop singles to win at the Grammys,AMA etc for the album which is an iffy proposition. Ultimately I see her doing around sales of Speak Now or Taylor Swift if she gets some wins at a General awards show. If she doesn't connect to a country audience as an adult I see her career losing steam.
Why do people give the Sun any credence? It is full of crap.
Yeah, its mostly BS but other sites still copy it and then it becomes somewhat of a thing. Which is unfortunate.
In response to your comment earlier- i think Taylor needs to find her own lane. Ditch the bubblegum pop. It was fun to try it i guess but if she keeps doing this with her next albums i can`t see her lasting for very long. Also doing that crap they call country these days seems like a dumb idea. It would compromise the quality of her work. Songs like "Safe And Sound" "Holy Ground" "State Of Grace" seem like the right path to me. Indie-alt-folk? Its where she sounds the most comfortable and in her element. Pop thing comes across more forced than her country accent in the early days. I`d love her to become the next Joni Mitchell or Stevie Nicks over Dolly Parton anyway.
