Not all of you acting as if North Korea can be blamed for this tough talk (which it is, they don't plan on doing anything unless provoked). The US has been meddling way too much in the Korean peninsula and they should back the hell off, they are actually provoking and waiting for this war to happen as they've done several times in the past, it's pathetic, and I actually hope al the US' allies tell them to get lost if they ask for help fighting this battle.

I mean, now everybody regrets the wars in the Middle East and says it didn't do any good, but 10 years ago everybody jumped in to help. It's stupid how they are doing the same thing all over again, GROW UP. The US should really stop thinking and acting like they are the most important and powerful country in the world and just focus on themselves and let other countries live their lives. Their heyday has long gone and Asia and Europe are much more important and powerful right now tbh, but a large part of the US is too self-centered to realise all that, they still think they are the centre of the universe

Most likely to happen: the US and SK will continue their military activity and will cross some lines intentionally which will set NK off and then they will deny everything and make it seem as if NK is in the wrong, even though they've been provoked

I agree with most of what was said. The U.S acts like in a self righteous bully (in a pseudo-littlemonster-esque) kind of way when dealing with international problems. Can anyone here answer the question as to why we went into Iraq and the "war for freedom" that was literally shoved down our throats the minute the WTC collapsed? Is there any rational way to go about this at this point? Nuke NK and hell will be unleashed. Wait for them to start and it's Cold War part deux.

The US has been provoking a lot with all the military activity, sending two B2 stealth bombers that can carry nuclear bombs... And you actually think it's weird that NK is saying **** like this? They are scared as hell and they should be... The US should just stop and start spending the money they spend on wars on other things

^^^ Comparing the mess that was the Iraq war to this is stupid at best. They're not remotely comparable. Iraq wasn't constantly taunting the world with threats to nuke countries, in fact there was absolutely no proof that they were harboring WMDs.

Exactly, there wasn't, but the US suspected they did have WMDs, which they deemed enough of a threat to declare war on the country + they had this kind of message of freedom, which they used as an excuse, just like they are looking for an excuse to attack NK, at least that are the vibes that the US and the news have been giving me lately.
Also, North Korea has always threatened the South and the US, but the US and SK have started provoking them constantly in the last couple of years, so I don't think it's weird they give off a sign that they've had enough by severing all the connections with SK. I do agree the North has started to out threats that are not acceptable, but the US and SK have been threatening them more and more so they feel scared, as they should.

I do think it's important to bare in mind the countries we're from and the news we get to see and the way in which the news and the history of the wars is presented. Different countries will present the news and history differently to their citizens, so that might affect how we see these threats and situations

I just can't imagine the North starting a war without provocation because they know damn well they'd bite the dust and no one would come to help them if they started it + if they did then the US and the South could still go in on a war, but then it wouldn't seem as if they were hoping for war

It seems like North Korea don't want to start a war with the U.S., so they're turning to South Korea first.

South Korea is, after all, where the U.S. are making movements at the moment. It's understandable that both nations have prepared themselves but they're both egging each other on. It's only a matter of time before one makes the first move.

I really hope the U.S. does not call Britain for aid.

I'm not sure what the hell went through but in my knowledge South Korea is funding North Korea when they ask for money or materials.

I'm pretty sure North Korea want to get the US' attention by starting war to South Korea.

Let's picture it this way:

Twin brothers (North and South Korea) who are complete opposites are at the same school. South helps North with some things but doesn't credit South back. South is USA's bestfriend and North despises him. He wants to start **** but can't since if he attacks USA he will be the mockery of the whole schools since USA is so popular so he will start **** with South first then USA of course as the popular kid will try to get in between them and then North will start doing some **** against the USA.

North Korea is using South Korea as a way to declare war to the US. But that's just my realization since it wouldn't be possible for North to declare war to South since they've been cooling it down for the past 4-5 years already. They minded their own businesses already and South tried to give funding to North for the past years.

That's my theory that North is just using South to declare war against the US and the US will obviously come to the rescue. Unconsciously falling for the bait. This is scary I tell you.
