I'm going to say this was the best performance in Idol history. There is no reason that Candice should've gotten cut after this.

In hindsight, I can see why they cut her.

If she went through, she would've been beaten out by the other contestants, and it would have been a waste of a great talent.

They probably told her to come back next season because they knew that she would be in since the producers wanted strong female contenders
