Last Friday Night, The One That Got Away, Ride, National Anthem, We Found Love (it's not as long but it's structured like a film), I Knew You Were Trouble, Born Free, Hurricane etc.
I'm not saying trends are only recognized in Pop, what I am saying is no other pop gurls were doing short film scenario's until Gaga did Paparazzi. The closest thing was "What You Waitin For" and that was just an extended music video, it wasn't released as a short film.
I'm not saying she invented it, nor did she bring it back. But she brought it back to mainstream POP. Something Justin nor Eminem did.
So unless you can find an artist who made a short film, in pop culture, as a music video, kindly prove me wrong.
But until then could you refrain from putting words in my mouth such as "Gaga invented Dark Themes" or "Only Katy Perry" as I am a bigger fan of the latter than I am of Gaga
DEATH.
Britney did it with Lucky:
Which is probably where Gaga got the idea since she's a stan.
Obviously Gaga:
- Kylie Minogue credited her for the revival of dance music in the US
- The iconic play-on-top-of-every-hour radio deal that literally every artist copied after she did it with Born This Way
- The re-release + seperate EP
- Her fashion
- Following her unprecedented Amazon $.99 discount, Katy Perry, Drake, Coldplay, and many more discounted their albums on Amazon to $.99 or even less as well
