We all know this album will deliver, she's working with exciting producers. Calm yo **** and have some faith in her. Although she needs to stop with this silence it's getting beyond a joke now

I think the ex-fan was saying how Gaga really appeals to a younger demographic, like 13-17, people who haven't "found themselves" yet, people still struggling with an identity.
I get his point though, once you get older, you realize that you don't need Gaga to feel "free". You are supposed to find people who really understand you, outside of the internet aka real life, and build relationships. Free yourself and don't rely on her to do it for you.
It was a good read.

The OP of that thread was just trying to stir **** up by saying that it was a dragging. It was a very intelectual article that was praising Gaga for helping him.

Well I think her message caters to that but in reality SHE doesn't. Her appeal is wide because it's a universal message. All the other stuff is up to ones own personal fixation with their feelings. I wish I had someone like Gaga when I was younger, but I will say that I'm 20 years old, I'm confident about my sexuality and do I really need her message? No, but I appreciate it, and I'm glad it's there for those who need it. Not just the younger crowd. The fanbase stuff is really only secluded to the internet. I didn't see people doing that at her concert and the ones I lined up with and camped with for 4 days were really REALLY respectful of ALL artist, even ones they didn't like.

I definitely appreciate her messages as well. I have been a huge fan since the beginning of her career, so when I was 17. With BTW, I felt somewhat alienated from the music and from the message of the album. I was 19/20, comfortable with who I am.
I really hope she grows alot more in the near future, not just with ARTPOP but with her next couple of albums. I don't need, and alot of her older fans, don't need the "love yourself" message anymore.

But do you really need to feel included in her message is the point? If you don't need it then why does it matter is what i'm wondering. I guess that yes the album could have strayed away from the strictly political view but the love yourself thing isn't only about loving yourself but also loving and appreciating those around you. It's supposed to be universal but I guess it didn't work the way it was intended because people thought she was just speaking about gays.

I guess at this point I want Gaga to establish herself as a legitimate force. Yeah she has Grammy's, countless praise from critics, etc. But, I want her to really "mature". I know she has it in her, just look at her unreleased tracks/ Red and Blue EP.
Maybe I am feeling this way because I am growing older and starting to change my music preferences. Pop doesn't really matter to me anymore. It's more of a selfish want, to see her change. if that makes sense. lol.
