Beyonce was everywhere around the release of 4 and everyone was talking about how horrid RTW was. People knew she had a CD out. They just didn't go out and buy it... perhaps placing judgment on the whole CD from the weak first single.
So the Super Bowl, overhyped Doc, H&M Campaign ad, and Bow Down don't count for anything right?
Once again, it was already selling about 1K or 2K before that.
I don't really get why this thread was made, as that is not unusual for Beyoncé's albums at all.
Lol she's been doing interviews and landing big TV appearances, high fashion magazines' covers and promoting her new album for months now and beside 4 didn't do spectacular numbers after the Superbowl which was a huge promotion.
Because "4" is perfect album and before the Superbowl, HBO etc etc was selling 1300-1600 weekly!
after SB and HBO etc.. weekly sales more than +7000 (a couple of weeks) .. NOW slowed and but still selling!
Definitely thought it increased over the years, guess not.
