for one i believe this movie was amazing and is to be labeled as one of my favorites !
I will admit though if you're going into this movie with the absence of an open mind and looking to compare to any other movie DON'T GO SEE IT. the only way to appropiately approach this movie is to look for the meaning behind and the symbolism.
My interpretation:
This movie truly spoke to me because as you all probably know WE ALL probably feel like the girls in the movie we feel like our lives consist of this forever going cycle that will lead us to no where, we all believe that theres some place out in the world will everything will feel perfect and right, away from our everyday lives, we all try to get lost in these imaginary fixations and escapes that we find till we forget what we're running from but unfortunately every fixation that we have has a deeper side to it that transforms everything!
I feel like that's what the producer was trying to get through the movie no matter what piece of reality we're running from we all have to "go back" whether it's our (Selena) rightful intuition of where we belong, (2nd girl) human limitations or (3rd and 4th girls) our the fact that this place has nothing left to offer us, we finally realize just as easily as we obtained this fantasy it can be snatched away within the realization of a second. The realization is so intense that it makes us rethink what we envy, we start to accept and appreciate what we've been underestimating and taking for granted in our lives, we finally want to make up for all the time we've wasted
[no matter how hard we try to run from reality we always have to come back, the true happiness in our lives comes from what we make of ourselves and the people we share it with
you can never run from reality and the life you live
