I don't understand, doesn't iTunes charge around the same as albums retail in stores? I just checked a few Australian stores and it's $22.99 AUD for the deluxe; same price as Australian iTunes. What's the big deal?
Album's base prices are like $12. LOL
The rest is profit of the store. That's why places can afford to take such high amounts of CD's. Majority of a CD cost is actually profit to the store, not the label or artist.

Because Australia is one of the wealthiest countries in the world and our cost of living is much higher here. Thus we pay more for food, clothing and music. Most things are more expensive. It seems unfair, but it's relative to our economy, so...
