Tim McGraw: "Taylor Swift Is Changing The History Of Music"
Quote:
She’s great. You know, I’ve been a fan of Taylor so long...” Tim gushes. “She actually toured with Faith and I for our Soul to Soul tour a few years ago.” Oh man, we would’ve killed to be in the audience for that. It’s funny to think of the three of them together, considering all the rumors abound that three of the main characters on Nashville may have been inspired by the trio — Deacon (Charles Esten) has some similarities to Tim, Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) displays some of Taylor’s most obvious attributes, and Rayna’s (Connie Britton) look was admittedly based on Faith Hill’s.
As for how Tim feels about Taylor’s enviable career, he couldn’t say anything nicer. “[Y]ou know she’s one of those rare artists that come along that there’s only been a handful of throughout the history of music, who creates such a weight behind her, pulls so many people into what her music is about that they discover so many different artists because of what she does. She’s just a really special, special artist.”
And sorry for going off topic but it's the first time I'm seeing this:

"honestly, almost every song on red (which i’ve heard is a reference to joni mitchell’s ‘blue’ which is pretty badass) is really truly amazing. trouble, state of grace, all too well, i almost do, red, 22, holy ground, sad beautiful tragic… like these are all CLASSIC songs. really amazing songs and if i could ever write a song as good as T swift does i would be pretty ****ing proud of myself."
“People like to fixate on Taylor Swift’s youth, as if to say, yeah, she’s pretty good for her age. But that just begs a question: Where are all the older people who are supposedly making better pop records than Taylor Swift? There aren’t any.”
nnnnnnnnn: Seems like Tim hit some nerves with these statements. The biggest kii is that he is right. You really cannot objectively say that she is not changing anything. Through her unprecedented accomplishments/influencing the country sound moving towards more pop/being the most global country star since Shania Twain etc. etc..

Except she isn't a country star anymore so she's got nothing on Shania

Except that she is nominated for 5 ACMs (taking place next month) which is one of the biggest and most respected country awards. How many EOTY awards does Shania have? How many Grammy AOTYs? Seems like Taylor has something on her afterall. Your arguments are invalid.
