Wow! What a week! The entire top four has over 20 points this week, which is definitely a record! The entire top seven is over 19 points, which is a gain, quite a huge deal! The top ten is EXTREMELY competitive at the moment, and it's about to get even more so with all of those adds! Neon Trees only got to celebrate one week at number as Ellie Goulding smashes her way to number one with a four and a half point jump! Aided by the release of her debut album, Kacey Musgraves' debut single, "Merry Go 'Round" jumps to a new peak of number three. Right below her, Taylor Swift continues to slay as "I Knew You Were Trouble." only slips two spots to number four after spending a whopping 19 weeks inside the top ten, which means that it holds the record for longest stay in the top ten in a three-way-tie with "Call Me Maybe" and "Catch My Breath." No doubt it will break the record next week. Below that, rocketing its way from 14 to number five is Demi Lovato's "Heart Attack"! (Oddly enough, that means it has already peaked higher than record holder, "Give Your Heart a Break.") Carly Rae Jepsen's "Tonight I'm Getting Over You" also sees a big jump from ten to six, which means, P!nk's "Just Give Me a Reason" gets pushed down five to seven. However, with tickets going on sale for her Kansas City tour date in November, anything can happen with the P!nk tracks in my top 30 (notice "Try" spends a 26th (!) week on the chart.) Reaching new peaks this week are "Stay" at 11, "Restless Heart" at 15, "Next to Me" at 17, "Madness" at 18, "My Songs Know What You Did In the Dark (Light Em Up)" at 19, and "Glow In the Dark" at 23. There are two debuts this week from Taylor Swift's "22" at number 25 and The Saturdays' "What About Us" at number 29. Oddly enough, the two debuts once again kick out Bruno Mars and Ke$ha.

Well, I finally did it. The chart, which first started out as a top 25, has now expanded to a top 40! There was no methodology changes, just an expansion of the chart. Ellie Goulding remains on top for a second week and continues to gain in points! She has a nice lead over the number two song at the moment, but check out that bullet on the number two song. P!nk's "Just Give Me a Reason," sky rockets from number seven to number two and looks to take the number one spot at any week. Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble." climbs a position to number three, despite losing points. The former eight-week number one smash hit hit two milestones this week. This week marks its 20th week in the top ten, meaning it now holds the record for longest stay in the top ten! Amazingly enough, the song also was certified 11x Platinum this week and it's still in the top three! It could rival Ke$ha's "TiK ToK" for most successful song of all time. Speaking of Ke$ha, "C'mon" spikes back up to number five after nosediving from three to ten last week. "Stay" enters the top ten for the time as it moves from 11 to nine, pushing "Daylight" out of the top ten. Below "Daylight," "Thank You" reaches a new peak of number 12. Also reaching new peaks this week are "My Songs Know What You Did In the Dark (Light Em Up)," "Next to Me," "22," "With Ur Love," and "What About Us." The top 30 also sees two new debuts from Mariah Carey's "Almost Home" and Icona Pop and Charli XCX's "I Love It." Below them is the new 31-40 section!!!! It include two songs that otherwise would have fallen out this week ("Try" and "Don't Rush") and also includes three former top 30 hits ("Gold Trans Am," "Locked Out of Heaven," and "Natalie.") The new entries from the 31-40 section include Australian X Factor winner, Samatha Jade's "What You've Done to Me," Flo Rida's hit international single, "Let It Roll," Pitch Perfect's hit "Cups" performed by Anna Kendrick, Imagine Dragons' latest alternative/AAA single "Demons," and Kacey Musgraves' new single "Blowin' Smoke."
