If you want to call us contradictory go right ahead.
But these examples you've listed don't quite make sense.
Beyonce is both pop and r&b. She is classy and can be ratchet. She is global. There really isn't any decisions to be made here because stans don't decide these things. One stan saying she's pop and another saying she's r&b is a contradiction to each other but doesn't represent a fanbase being contradictory and if that was coming from the same person, she is both a pop and an r&b artist, its not the stans fault that it's true.
