I do digital painting, I can't do traditional painting though. I'm mostly self taught though so they're nothing exceptional. To answer your question, yes, I do enjoy it especially when you see your idea coming alive. There are moments when I get frustrated like when I get artist block, but once the machine starts working again, then it's all rainbows and sunshine. .

Oh thanks :P but the only problem with me and art is that I always need a reference picture to work from because otherwise I don't have the confidence to do it XD. Anyways if your avatar a bird? I've always wondered :P

I don't enjoy the process itself, because I'm a perfectionist and I get very angry when I can't create the perfect color (and that happens too often). So I skipped almost every painting class this semester
But I like the feeling when I finish a painting and it's actually good.

I used to say that, too, in high school. But then I discovered the magic of oil and watercolors and I'm not touching that acrylic crap ever again.

I use reference on a lot of my works. There really is nothing wrong with using references, I credit the pictures just in case . A lot of people use reference also.
