I hope he learned what he did wrong with L4M, but just in case, I don't want to get too hyped in case he does the same thing again. I just hope he makes sure he has time to promote his next album, and to only focus on that. I can't wait

It's so sad for the whole L4M era... I swear this Album would smash if he would promote his ass off Climax wasa great start and then he started to promote Scream and after that the promo was soooooooooo bad

My opinion for the whole thing is this which I already wrote on the other Thread...

Looking 4 Myself Album was good and it was more R&B than Pop so it's obviously that Tyler never heard the whole Album. Usher's big mistake was PROMOTION . He only promoted Scream.

The only thing why Justin Timberlakes era will be good is:
1) Very good promotion.
2) A very good timing of the comeback... people are sick of these mainstream Songs and they've hope for Songs which Justin & Timbaland recorded for some years ago.
3) No one of the big artists are bringing NOW Albums so he has no competition and can get very good sells.

Justin Timberlake was so many years away from music and he had so much time for this new era and to be honest, he's still doing the same music/genre which he did for some years ago nothing changed, it's like Usher would stop recording music like JT for some years... and then he makes a comeback with a Album like Confessions for sure it would smash.

It really is, and the thing is, it's his fault he flopped so bad. He knows albums don't sell like they used to and artists need to promote albums a lot, if he was too busy last year he should have never released it.
Everyone that he's been working with have been calling his album game changing
I don't know if it's just me but I feel like it's going to be a Confessions type of album, he's going to get really personal.

Ugh stuff like that is irritating me so badly, it makes me wantt to just quit twitter. I wish the comparisions would just stop already. I can't even go on anything that has to do with Usher without people comparing him to JT. I've said this before and I'll say it again, they are two different artists. The media needs to stop putting them against each other because it's getting ridiculous.
As for Usher going "pop" he never did. L4M was R&B and like you said he didn't promote and release the right singles.
If Usher were to take a 7 year break and comeback to music and start promoting it properly he would be doing big numbers.
And **** Tyler, he's all trying to act like he's friends with Usher and then runs off to say that ****.

I hate when I see comments like the Tylor tweet so much... people are acting like Usher is a new artist??? He's doing this since years and is since years on the TOP but they act like Usher is known since 2013

Tyler is ignorant and an idiot for trying him like that, he is still R&B he just promoted badly. Yeah I hate when people act like his career is over just because of one misstep he took. Hello Usher has been doing music since he was 14, he isn't a new artist.

I really don't blame anyone but Usher. He is the reason why this comparison is even considered in the first place. I am disappointed that all these years his fans have been asking him to go back to JD and he ignored us, but all he needed was Justin selling more than him and he is on board now? I am kind of ashamed, but it is what it is.

My only prayer is that, this next album is good and well PROMOTED like his other albums if not...

What he needs to do now is:

1) Go back to the people who collaborated and made your previous albums a success( If its not broken, why fix it)
2) Revamp your entire image
3) The Black clothes and red shoes needs to go
4) Don't forget the haircut
5) Create buzz, you are not married, so he can still be a ladies man instead of making people think that he is in his 50's
6) Get back to your ORIGINAL team
7) FIRE GRACE AND HIRE YOUR MOTHER BACK!

I just don't know what happened to him, I guess he is just too stubborn and he has enablers that think he is doing the right thing. He almost single-handedly destroyed his legacy. Now folks on every site are dragging him. He should better take back his throne as King of R&B contemporary music if not he would be finished. Adele is Queen of Soul, now another white person is about to be crowned as the King of R&B.

He needs a completely different team. This whole not promoting thing is not working at all. He should have known better. Now I'm not going to say he needs to go back to real R&B because he is still R&B, but I am hoping and praying his stubborn ass learned that his L4M image did not work, the whole I don't care attitude just isn't him, he needs to cut his hair, shave, get a new image, his next album is either going to make him or break him.

I agree on the most things but seriously we can't blame him what he tried, we just can blame him with the styling, no promotion etc.

Usher wants to be much bigger and not just known as a R&B artist, that's why he started to record POP Songs... he's trying some new things and I don't blame him, I blame all this FAKE GARBAGE BANDWAGON fans who don't give artists any chance to try something new especially MALE artists. Just look at Rihanna, she also changed and tried something new and now she can try whatever she wants she will not flop, because she has now a very strong fanbase.

And I'm 100% sure Usher will never ever make just a Album with R&B songs, he'll keep it up and mix it again like L4M.

Seriously I said it 2-3times JT has luck with this era, because the timing of his comeback was very good... people are sick of mainstream music, there are no new albums out now in stores, it's like his album is the only album in stores lol so people will buy his Album... and not like the release date from L4M where was many other Album releases from other artists like Chris Brown, Ne-Yo etc.

JT's Album quality is good but nothing more, he isn't trying new things, that's why people like it, because he was so many years away from the buzz and now he comes back where people want this type of music back. He makes so much Promotion for his Album where people see or hear it on the tv/radio etc. and then the most will buy it for sure because there are no other big artists who are promoting their albums now, BECAUSE there are no other albums out now so he has no competition.

I cannot stand those bandwagon stans. Why is it okay for other artists to change it up, but when Usher tries a couple of pop songs everyone all of sudden starts calling him a sellout? Those aren't really fans, they never were, but as soon as he releases good quality songs like Climax, those same people try to ride his coattails.
And I agree, JT is successful right now because of the hype and the long break he took, he also has a dedicated fanbase, he has good P.R team, and he promoted as soon as he released that single. I literally laughed when I was reading the older comments before Usher released Climax, everyone was saying it was going to be trash, blah, blah, blah, and that he had a huge ego, and it was going to be nothing different, and look how that turned out.
I'm not worried that the quality of his 8th album will be bad, because it won't, what I'm worried is if he's going to continue to be lazy.
