Funny how the rest of the world is striving for their children to attain basic needs like food, water, and education but in America we're too busy focusing on protecting our children's teeny tiny fragile emotions. We need to grow a pair, because getting your feelings hurt as a child is what prepares you for the cold, bitter, and real world.

I mean really? What about when invitations are handed outside of school, aren't they gonna get their feelings hurt too? I'd rather schools focus on bullying instead of irrelevant nonsense like this.

I understand this rule as well, but why can't they walk with their child when they leave the cafeteria? And sometimes, school staff can be intentional dicks with parents not biologically related to the child (like step-parents or same sex parents).

No it shouldnt be, but what these micro-management regulations are doing are babying our children. Regulations that focus on the bigger picture should be invested in. i.e.) anti- bullying, DARE, etc.

This reminds me of the ban on sodas for adults in NY. You're not teaching them to eat and live healthy..you're just taking away their sodas from a few convenience stores.
