Which is less demeaning? TV Movie or Direct to video movie?
If your FAVE suddenly did a TV movie or a direct to video movie, which they have never done before, due to lack of quality offers or what not, WHICH IS LESS DEMEANING?
TV movies. I've seen a few that made me wonder why they were not in theaters. Direct to video are usually the worst offenders imo, and if you're lucky you never knew they existed. Especially most of the messy straight-to-video horror flicks
id say direct to video. There has been some good tv movies, and these actors/actresses get nominated for emmys for them. Alot of the hollywood stars have done tv movies well after they've been established.
As far as TV movies go, it usually depends on what network it is on. For instance, a Lifetime TV film isn't the same as an HBO TV film. DTV are almost always bad.
Direct to DVD is less demeaning. I mean at least SOME type of publisher (or whoever distributes movies, idk what the word is in English) is willing to put out his or her hard earned money to give your movie a selling try.
On TV it's like "Well you made the movie but its not worth giving people the chance to buy it, so here it is for free"
