I have my own Alienware coming in the post next week, would Sim City be okay for that?

I'm still wondering -- is the rest of the game worth buying? Is it a vast improvement over Societies (which was really tragic) and a worthy follow-up to SimCity 4?

Yeah! Sims/SimCity games aren't that demanding, you'll probably be able to max it out if you're getting a gaming laptop.

So you guys know how Kotaku were able to play the game offline for 19 minutes? Someone actually found a code in the game that can be edited for unlimited offline gameplay

You still can't save offline, but this is a step towards a crack. All they really need now is to emulate the server so you can make game saves on your computer, which is going to be the hardest step but I'm sure release groups have been working on that since the game was released.

EA is sure as hell not getting my money after this mess I was considering buying it but they ruined this game, not only with the DRM crap but with the small cities and the fact that they use a ghost population.

What do you mean? You can only grow your city to a certain size?

I tried to download this but it looked more confusing than other games with the crack and stuff so I gave up.

I might wait until my birthday and get it as a present, I just hope it'll work. The constantly-online thing puts me off a bit.

The cities are just small. Apparently they're the equivalent to SimCity 4's medium size cities. I haven't played it but the city size is a big complaint

Girl there isn't a crack, if you saw one then it was fake you shouldn't ask for it as a present tho, wait until the crack comes out. EA doesn't deserve any more more greedy bastards.
