In Speak Now's case, I listened to the promo singles because they were officially released, as well as 30 second previews of the entire album. I also allowed myself to listen to Sparks Fly one time when it leaked because we already had the original version.

Listening to Adele makes people feel sophisticated and the fact that she isn't a stunning size 2 model makes people feel good about themselves. Her album has a few outstanding songs but on the whole it isn't that fantastic.
