I wish that Gaga was more empowering in actions the next era. Sure, she can speak her mind all she wants, but coming back harder than ever with showstopping performances with amazing music would be literally more empowering than any lyric on BTW. |
I've been hoping for the same thing. I mean, she has yet to top the VMAs Paparazzi performance and I was REALLY hoping she would with BTW. And I'm hoping for more stuff that becomes symbolic of Gaga, like the hair bow, disco stick, meat dress, vessel etc. (notice how meat dress and vessel were part of the hype campaign for BTW, yet they're more "iconic" than anything that happened during the era
). There were lots of great performances/concepts during the BTW era but in the end I don't think any of them stood out the way VMAs Paparazzi, DITD at the Brit Awards, Speechless at the Grammys, etc. did.
I'm confident that she has some really good stuff planned, though. Fingers crossed for the lead single to be out by summer so she can have a "phoenix rising from the ashes" performance at the VMAs
