When you are responsible for so many BEP gems, even from long time ago, you still have it in you. If Britney and her team said that's the sound we want, he is going to try to come up with it, regardless if he has been doing dance music for the last years.

It probably will be dance, but he can still stay away from electropop generic type. Let's not forget he was also responsible for this gem:

'3 Words' is cool, but it's not as amazing as some people try to make it out to be.

will.i.am's productions are pretty bland, TBH, even his best ones with the BEP.

Will.i.am is capable of making something special for Britney, but he'll probably eff that up, both his efforts with Britney have been disappointing, and he hasn't produced anything memorable since The E.N.D.

He was great with his Urban beats on earlier BEP records, not sure what has happened to him since then. He isn't as great at electro as he seems to believe & I'm really not here for any more of his unnecessary-features.

We heard over 100M only for it to go down to 30M.
Then we heard her team wanted 45 shows for 30M instead of 30...which I think is BS.
If she's not getting around 50M then I won't be satisfied with this arrangement.
