sigh, I too can tell Nicki is very insecure, but we all are in some ways.I can relate to the mask she ears. I think it's more rare for a person to be completely self assured. i bet even Beyonce has her moments. Nicki does live in an industry that constantly tells her everything about her is wrong (not just her, but all black women)

I applaud here new look, but has anyone else noticed how thin she has gotten? a White magazine like Elle would never have put thick Nicki on the cover.

I watched an interview where she talked about people always berating her over her size. Clive told her she would NEVER become a pop star because her bottom was too big. designers refused to let her use their clothes. That's the ONLY reason Nicki started wearing costumes.

She was blocked before she even started, despite all of the hate she STILL blew up. she found underground/ up and coming designers to work w/.

it all hits very close to home for me. I mean Nicki is so immensely beautiful. Yet she still feels human just like us. I think we forget that. My father didn't do right by us. I've spent much of my life trying to do things that I felt would make me good enough to be loved. Only once i realized that it wasn't me, that it's human nature hurt others did i learn to love myself. I'm still learning. everyday is a learning experience for me.

sometimes i breakdown in tears, just thinking about how worthless someone else has MADE me feel. how is that even possible? all i know is it is. I really really want Nicki to open up about herself.

you're a fan just like me peice the puzzle together. it isn't hard to tell she's struggled w/ insecurities
in her interview she touched on insecurities. I can relate. I just thought i would share my thoughts. idk. maybe you have to be female to understand where I'm coming from. There are a lot of ladies that feel similar to how she feels. It's hard being comfortable in your own skin sometimes, hence the make up, the wigs, the personas. even if she doesn't admit it (which she does) it's a coping mechanism.

you build up this "mask" that helps you feel less vulnerable, less weak
