Weren't people earlier in this thread just saying that people buy clothing in order to copy Rihanna's look?

I don't have time to dig up receipts and type up an essay for you all tonight. I never once said that Gaga has no impact in the industry. I simply stated that Rihanna has more impact in that she is the woman that people try and emulate. Gaga is fantasy, Rihanna is reality. Whatever Rihanna wears is instantly copied by stores because it sells. She represents the fashion that people crave and consume, and her image is what motivates people to buy.

But it's whatever. I know that a lot of you don't know anything about fashion besides Alexander McQueen anyways. Disagree all you want.

You really seem to not understand the OP's question. It's not who has more impact it's who has the bigger name, e.g. who is more respected by the industry. Gaga has been the muse for countless brands and is known by name for each and every fashion choice she makes and has worked/is friends with several top people in the fashion industry. Rihanna may impact the lesser brands/people but her name does not the same amount of standing in the industry.

I understood the original question perfectly. I even said Gaga had a "bigger name" in my original post.

People overall buy clothes in order to copy most celebs looks not just her. You sure have time to keep on lingering in this thread though and arguing back and forth. You did not "simply" state that, you went on about Vogue Covers, Awards and using the word "impact" based on no facts. Sit.

Britney is legit a non factor in the industry. Most of what she wears to events is store bought since high end designers don't want to associate the brand with her image and those who do lend her things are usually those who will do anything for promo (i.e. D&G).
